Marissa is a documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. Her interests reside in the realms of spirituality, environmentalism, and arts & culture. Marissa has a passion with working with charities and non-profits to support their missions in providing service where it is needed most.
She strives to raise awareness of the essential work & service happening on Mother Earth to inspire growth and change individually and collectively.
Marissa has the ability to channel her subjects from behind the camera. She has the ability to shift her awareness out of her own personal lens into the lens of the subject through her medium of the camera. She dances with her camera capturing the energy of a subject, moment, and situation.
She’s answered a calling to make an impact. Film is her vehicle in which she translates messages to audiences that need them the most. Her compelling and intrinsic filming style wraps an audience into an unadulterated view of the world. Through love and compassion she inspires her audiences to see the world through another lens.
Besides her profession in film she is an astrologer and writes horoscopes for prominent instagram brands. She studies the interconnectivity of roles on Earth and how they align with the greater Cosmos. She is a intuitive healer, Thai masseuse, and devoted yogi. Through movement she finds balance, supporting her fluid dance with her camera.
